மணப்பாறை அருகே செயல்பட்டு வரும் அரசு பள்ளியில் கல்விக்கட்டணம் வசூலிப்பதை கண்டித்து மாணவ மாணவிகள் வகுப்பை புறக்கணித்து போராட்டம் நடத்தியதால் பெரும் பரபரப்பு ஏற்பட்டது.
திருச்சி மாவட்டம் மணப்பாறையை அடுத்த தவளவீரன்பட்டியில் அரசு மேல்நிலைப்பள்ளி உள்ளது. இந்த பள்ளியில் சுமார் 375 மாணவ மாணவிகள் படித்து வரும் நிலையில் 6 முதல் 10 ம் வகுப்பு வரை உள்ள மாணவ மாணவிகளுக்கு 200 முதல் 300 ரூபாயும் 11 – 12 ம் வகுப்பு பயிலும் மாணவ மாணவிகளுக்கு 600 முதல் 900 ரூபாயும் கல்வி கட்டணம் வசூலிக்கப்படுவதாக கூறப்படுகிறது.இதற்கு பெற்றோர்கள் ரசீது கேட்ட போது அதற்கு பள்ளி நிர்வாகத்தின் சார்பில் எந்தவித பதிலும் அளிக்கப்படவில்லை என்பது குற்றச்சாட்டு. மேலும் இந்த பள்ளியில் கழிப்பறை வசதி குடிநீர் வசதி உள்ளிட்ட எந்தவித அடிப்படை வசதிகளும் இல்லை என மாணவ மாணவிகள் புகார் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்‍.
இது பற்றி பள்ளி நிர்வாகம் மற்றும் கல்வித்துறை அதிகாரிகளிடம் பலமுறை புகார் அளித்தும் இதுவரை எந்தவித நடவடிக்கையும் எடுக்காததால் ஆவேசமடைந்த பள்ளி மாணவ மாணவிகள் வகுப்பை புறக்கணித்து போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டதால் பரபரப்பு நிலவியது.மேலும் முறையற்ற வகையில் கட்டணம் வசூலிப்பது குறித்து கேட்ட அதே பள்ளியில் பணியாற்றிய ஆசிரியர் ஒருவர் வேறு பள்ளிக்கு தற்காலிக பணியிட மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டதாகவும் பெற்றோர்கள் குற்றச்சாட்டியுள்ளனர்‍.
இது குறித்து தகவல் அறிந்த வந்த போலீசார் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டவர்களிடம் பேச்சுவார்த்தை நடத்தினர். மேலும் சம்மந்தப்பட்ட அதிகாரிகளிடம் கூறி தீர்வு காண நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும் என போலீசார் கூறியதை அடுத்து மாணவ மாணவிகள் பள்ளிக்கு சென்றனர்.
